Chalmers Industriteknik (CIT) is a foundation founded by Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1984. CIT has about 100 employees (50% with a PhD) and collaborate with academia, industry, and government in the areas of energy, materials, digitalization, design, and circular economy. In the area of materials CIT are supporting both SME’s and large companies in their development and usage of nanomaterials according to sustainable and safe-by-design principles.

Main activities within HARMLESS:

CIT will contribute to work package tasks and activities: CIT will participate in WP 4 Safe-Innovation-Approach and WP 6 Safe by Design Case Studies contributing in design solutions towards safer nanomaterials and NEP based on reducing/minimizing human and environmental exposure to hazardous materials along the life cycle, without impairing their performances and functionalities. CIT is responsible for T6.4 and will support Nouryon and coordinate the industrial cases and delivery of test materials. CIT will also contribute to WP3 (T3.1, T3.3 and T3.5) WP5 and WP7.
